Carseat Sidekick™ Review & Giveaway

I’m sure that every parent has had that moment when your child turns into and eight legged spider money, who absolutely refuses to get into the car seat, much less get the straps from underneath them so  you can buckle them in.

Here comes Carseat Sidekick™.  Like a stealthy ninja, it holds the straps pout of the way so you can get your precious angel into the seat.

The idea is simple.  There is a band which attaches to the straps.  This cute band contains a magnet.  The other piece is clipped on to the handle of the car seat.  All you have to do is attach the magnets after you take the kid out  and it is ready for your to use the next time.

So, when you are trying to get on the road in a timely (I used this term loosely) manner, the seat is ready and the straps are out-of-the-way.

So I have a coupon code for those of you interested in the most AWESOME trick for your car seat.  It is KELLY20.

Product Description:

It’s SIMPLE really, you’ve been there.

You are trying to gently lay your sweet little one into their carseat. The problem is, you are placing them right on top of the carseat buckle and straps. Now you have to dig them out from underneath your baby… so frustrating!

There has to be A BETTER WAY! Right?

We thought so too, and it’s as simple as a click. Just attach the magnetic Carseat Sidekick™ to the shoulder straps, holding them back and out of the way until the little one is happily situated.

Did I say Simple? Yes, yes I did.

I would pick the orange or the gender neutral one. They both would work well for either sex. Neat idea and I LOVE that you give $0.10 to Living Water!!

I’d like the boy color – what a great idea. This would be great for when we go on walks and don’t need to strap the baby in but still want to put him in his carseat to snap into the stroller.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Rear Facing in an infant car seat the straps should be thread at or below the baby’s shoulders. Plus, those straps were way too loose. As a car seat technician, I am not allowed to recommend after market products but I was curious about the safety of this product. The way that baby is strapped in does not boost my confidence.

I have had no problems thus far. My sons straps are much tighter than hers in the video and the snaps are over his chest. I love them. They are not fluffy so there is not a compression issue like with winter jackets.

Wanted to try and clear this up for you guys about the safety strapping issues. That baby isn’t strapped in. That picture is showing how the product holds the straps out of the way while you place the baby in. Once you put them in the Carseat you strap them in just like normal with the straps tightened down fully. The product uses magnets so it releases as soon as you actually strap the baby in.
Hope that helps explain the picture for you guys.
