#MinCamp Task #2: Tackle Your Most Difficult Thing First

Task #2: Tackle Your Most Difficult Thing First We get that there’s only so much interruption you can control (you can’t exactly push the mute button on a toddler). – MINIMALIST PARENTING, Chapter 3 We all have those nagging items on our to-do lists. Some require focused time (e.g., generating a budget) whereas others come with emotional weight (e.g., a difficult phone call you need to make). Either way, procrastinating depletes your energy. Every time your eyes hit that to-do list item Read more [...]

Task #1: Make a More and Less List The question goes from “How do I fit everything in?” to “What’s most important to fit in?  – MINIMALIST PARENTING, Chapter 2 #MinCamp We're kicking off MinCamp by focusing on what most parents tell us is their biggest challenge: time. In Minimalist Parenting, we talk about "making room for remarkable." In other words, when you do less of the unimportant stuff, there's more time and space for the important stuff. The challenge? Living the Attachment Parenting Life – Part 2

This is part 2 of my Living the Attachment Parenting life set.  You can see part 1 here. Ensure Safe Sleep, Physically and Emotionally - Co-sleeping has been such a blessing.  Peanut definitely loves his night-time feedings, so this lets me feed him and still get some rest because he is an EARLY riser.  I know that it is controversial but I feel if it works for you and you do it safely, go for it.  I understand that this does not work for everyone, but don't bash me because it works for Read more [...]

Day 27. What is your favorite part of your body and why? #30things

Not sure why this is in the 30 things my kids should know about me but... here we go Right now, I love my hair.  Its settled down since pregnancy and I really like it.  Everything else is still attempting to return to its former glory.  It's amazing what pregnancy can do to a body.  I know they try to prepare you but nothing can prepare you for the damage.  I know there are people out there who are lucky and get away looking just as amazing as they did before the pregnancy, but I am not one Read more [...]

My Cloth Diaper Wash Routine

I have one of the simplest routines for washing diapers, or at least I like to think so. Grab from bottom of diaper organizer,  I am OCD about this because it keeps them in constant rotation. I do a load every day or two.  It keeps it small.  You need as much water as possible in there to get them clean. I make my own laundry detergent.  Works great on Read more [...]

Day 18. What do you think your spouse loves most about you? #30things

Why on Earth do they make these questions so hard?  I would love to have some easy ones.  I don't like digging into things like this, but maybe my kids will read these one day and it will all be worth it.  So here I sit, watching knitting videos ( I will figure this out one day) and dig into my brain as everyone else is the house is asleep.  Yay for some quiet time.  How else am I going to figure this out. I would like to believe that there are many thing he loves about me.  Well, at least Read more [...]
